Health Insurance- An Overview
The search for comprehensive low cost health insurance plans indeed proves to be an arduous task because of the rising medical insurance cost. Even the providers are always faced with the constant battle of giving quality coverage against the ever-increasing medical care, hospitalization, and health maintenance costs. The different types of individual health insurance plans are as follows:

1) Private health insurance is a health plan that is provided by a person's employer or the labour union he or she belongs to. This type of insurance is purchased from a private health insurance company by the company they work for.
2) The direct purchase health plans are the health insurance coverage plans that are bought personally from a private health insurance provider.
3) The U.S. government funds health insurance in local, federal, and state levels. There are different coverage under the government sponsored insurance and these are the Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP, and Military health care.
4) The state specific plans are state sponsored health insurance plans. This type is a form of a special coverage given by the state office to its constituents and it may be called by different names across different states.
