Real Estate is Top Pre Paid Legal Insurance Request
Real estate issues have ranked as the top Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc legal request for the second year in a row. There were an estimated 2.1 million legal services request from the company's members overall during 2010. Out of that, 342,000 were for real estate related inquiries, which represents about 16% of the total. The requests were for legal services including residential and commercial real estate transactions, landlord and tenant issues and legal counsel related to foreclosure and short sales.
Another top legal service request by category included consumer finance related to retail transactions for warranties, guarantees and other contracts. Family law issues were also in demand, including requests for legal services related to divorce, child support, child custody and child visitation. Traffic issues also generated a lot of requests for legal assistance related to moving violations, traffic tickets and auto accidents.
